J. ZAGERS - Savannah local who has for years awed his audiences with delicate bedroom pop infused with mighty synths and catchy chorus lines. Soft Science is re-releasing three J Zagers' albums, Chu's Blues, Fold; The Tale of Table and Key Conduction, in a three tape set entitled Chu's Musings on 1/9/14.

WHITE TREASURE - Brooke Schwartz, the man behind the doom rap moniker of Savannah, is an enigmatic force. With lyrics that suggest violence and power, Schwartz confronts his audience head on with his rage and the capabilities of White Treasure.
For the past five years, Los Angeles-based sound artist Kevin Greenspon has sculpted abstract sound into cinematic compositions and miniature film soundtracks that draw from ambient, shoegaze, drone, classical, field recording and harsh noise composition.
Safe // Sound was able to chat with Daniel Bachman on the eve before his show in Savannah! We were able to figure out a little bit more about the uber talented, elusive twenty-two year old. Here's what he had to say:

Pines is so atmospheric and evocative, do you attribute your
songs to a specific place, region or memory? Is your hometown, Fredricksburg, the Mountains?
Isn't in the mountains - its about halfway between DC and Richmond on
95 and an hour to the east the bay and an hour to the west some
pretty serious foothills. But its still very nice around here
in town and around the counties - not completely taken over by DC
